Attractions in Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire

If you plan to stay in the Somerset area and explore the local attractions or are visiting one of the attractions, The Prince of Wales is an ideal base.  We are situated on the main A367 - the Fosse Way -just south of Bath and thus within easy travelleng to all places of interest in Somerset and Wiltshire. Priston Mill  If you are visiting the beautiful venue of Priston Mill for a wedding or other event, The Prince of Wales is the place to stay.  Less than ten minutes away, we are one of the closest B&Bs to Priston and with en-suite accommodation and ample parking provide an ideal base for your visit - and, of course, the opportunity for a drink in the bar before you go!!
   
City of Bath – World Heritage Site The World Heritage Site of Bath is only 6 miles away straight along the A367 - 15 minutes by car on a clear run.  Alternatively, there is a bus stop right outside and the Park-and-Ride at Odd Down is on the A367 on the way into Bath.
   
Cathedral City of Wells Englands smallest Cathedral City is only 15 miles away.
   
Longleat  We are regularly used as a base by families taking advantage of Longleat's "Passport" ticket which allows them to spread their visit over two days as we are only 16 miles from the park.  Longleat, of course, is featured on BBC's Animal Parkand, as we are frequently told by guests, does need more than just one day to do it justice..
   
Cheddar Gorge  World-famous caves and gorge just outside Wells..
   
Wookey Hole Wookey Hole Caves - See the Witch of Wookey in some of Britains' most spectacular caves and wander through the prehistoric valley of the Dinosaurs.
   
Glastonbury Tor Just a few miles further on from Wells is Glastonbury Tor with the remains of the 14th Century St Michael's Chapel, legendary burial place of King Arthur.
   
Stonehenge  Stonehenge and Salisbury are just over 35 miles away through Somerset and Wiltshire countryside
